SATELLITE 2007 CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION IS MARKED BY RECORD ATTENDANCE,
LARGEST EXHIBIT SHOW FLOOR AND CUTTING EDGE CONFERENCE CONTENT
Rockville, MD, March 8, 2007 -- SATELLITE 2007, the most targeted conference and exhibition for satellite-enabled communications, opened on Monday, Feb. 20, to record-setting attendance. The event’s momentum continued through the week and closed on Thursday, Feb. 22 with more than 8,000 attendees – a 10% increase from SATELLITE 2006.
“The significant increase in attendance at this year’s conference proves the pivotal role SATELLITE 2007 plays in delivering information, solutions, and content to those interested in satellite-enabled communications,” said Joe Rosone, Access Intelligence Satellite Group vice president and publisher.
In addition to the increased attendance, the exhibit show floor grew as well. With more than 270 companies on the floor, attendees had the opportunities to get up-close with dozens of new product released during the event.
“The best part for me was being able to view products first-hand that I had up until then only been able to read about,” said SATELLITE 2007 exhibition attendee Peter Thistle, Engineer, The MIL Corporation.
SATELLITE 2007 was held during a week that had some significant news announcements in the satellite industry.
“With so many satellite professionals under one roof, a conference covering hot topics like IPTV, satellite technology for disaster recovery applications, Mobile TV and the announcement of the proposed merger of XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio on Monday, SATELLITE 2007 provided the perfect forum for a heated debate on the state of affairs in the satellite marketplace,” Rosone said.
