Michael T. (Mike) O'Neill is Vice President and Publisher, The Telecom Intelligence Group for Access Intelligence. Access Intelligence (www.accessintel.com) is a b-to-b media and information company headquartered in Rockville, MD, serving the chemical, defense, satellite, aviation, cable, telecommunications, media and public relations markets. The Telecom Intelligence Group includes: InfoTech, market intelligence provider and publisher of InfoTracks programs; TelecomWeb, the leading online source for business news, market research and competitive analysis on the global communications industry, which recently launched a daily news service; pricing consultancy Tarifica; subscription news services such as Inside Digital TV and Wireless Business Forecast; and the Web-based product database TelecomTactics.

O'Neill was most recently Group Vice President for the Tier One organization at IT research and advisory leader Gartner, Inc. where he was responsible for business development, sales and service to the company's largest and most strategic global clients.

In 2000, O'Neill was part of the executive team at IntraLinks, a web based application services company for the financial services industry. Prior to IntraLinks, O'Neill worked at Phillips Business Information, Inc., the largest business-to-business newsletter and magazine publisher in the world, where he led the development and launch of the company's online delivery service and Internet publishing initiatives, which quickly became the fastest growing and most profitable sales channel across Phillips publishing.

O'Neill also held sales and marketing roles within McGraw-Hill's Aviation/Aerospace Online and the Aviation Week Group, where he became the company's first employee to develop, prototype and sell their electronic publishing Internet delivery service. He also played a key role in negotiating a major agreement that delivered McGraw-Hill's services to the Federal Government.

O'Neill received his bachelor's degree in business from the University of Maryland and did Graduate work in Aeronautic Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Stuart Zipper

Editor, Broadband Business Forecast

Stuart Zipper joined the TelecomWeb as editor of Broadband Business Forecast in 2004 from G2 Computer Intelligence, where he was senior editor of Client Server News and of the company's other publications, which he helped launch. Since then, this award-winning editor has kept watch over BBF and the daily TelecomWeb news break.

Graduating from Queens College, City University of New York with an unusual combination of a major in Political Science and minor in Electrical Engineering, Zipper was a general assignment reporter for the Long Island Press, leaving in order to enter the military. While serving with the U.S. Army in Vietnam, among other duties he edited his unit's newspaper, reported and produced a weekly radio show, and functioned as a combat photographer. Following his discharge, Zipper reported for local South Florida daily newspapers while pursuing graduate studies in science, technology and international affairs at the University of Miami's Center for Advanced International Studies.

In 1975, Zipper left the daily press and joined Electronic News. After serving for several years as the paper's Miami-based correspondent, he relocated to the Middle East as a foreign correspondent for Fairchild News Service, working as the only foreign correspondent in the state of Israel covering a business beat. He also worked as a part-time night copy editor for the Jerusalem Post.

Returning to the United States, Zipper rejoined Electronic News, eventually holding the rank of senior bureau manager responsible for most of the country.

John Lilley

Director, EMEA & Publisher, Tarifica

John Lilley is EMEA Director for TelecomWeb and Publisher for Tarifica. He is responsible for expanding the product line and building out the business in the region and for Tarifica operations. He has over 15 years of international experience as a trusted advisor, strategic consultant and industry commentator on next generation telecommunications services.

Prior to joining Access Intelligence, Mr. Lilley was Sector Vice President, Communications at Gartner. In this global company-wide role, he led business development efforts amongst a client base that included the world's leading telecommunications operators, equipment manufacturers, broadcasters and media companies. Mr. Lilley specialized in working with the leadership teams of fixed and mobile operators in Asia-Pacific and Europe.

In his nine-year tenure with Gartner, Mr. Lilley held a variety of other senior positions including Director, European Telecommunications Group and Chief Analyst Worldwide for Public Network Services. He devised and launched many new ground-breaking research programs including Voice over Packet Networks, Internet Access Europe, IP Backbone Strategies and Internet Infrastructure. Mr. Lilley formulated and directed Gartner's research agenda during the liberalization of European telephony markets and introduced actionable analysis of the voice and data wholesale markets.

Previously, Mr. Lilley started-up and led the European news operation for the IT/ Telecommunications publishing arm of Phillips Business Information Inc.(now known as Access Intelligence). He launched five fortnightly newsletters: Broadband Networking News, Communications Standards News, Electronic Messaging News, ISDN News, Multimedia News as well as creating training courses in the areas of ATM, ISDN and the Internet.

Mr. Lilley began his career as a magazine journalist before editing a range of newspapers. During a five-year period, he covered a diverse range of topics including Workstations, Servers, Communications Engineering, Business Jets and Automobiles.

Mr. Lilley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Sheffield.

Robbert Ruigrok

Account Manager, Tarifica

Robbert Ruigrok brings a wealth of experience working with telecommunications operators, regulators and equipment vendors. He joins from Frost & Sullivan where he was Strategic Account Manager for telecommunications and IT accounts. Before that he spent eight successful years with Gartner in a variety of sales and account management roles.

Susan P. Hobart

Vice President, Research

Susan Hobart is Vice President, Research of InfoTech and Senior Program Director for InfoTrack for Enterprise Communications (IEC). With over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Ms. Hobart has expertise in strategic planning, marketing and business turnarounds. She initially joined InfoTech in 1999 as a Senior Consultant providing custom consulting across a range of business technology issues. Other positions she has held at InfoTech include Director of Consulting Operations, and Vice President with responsibility for market intelligence products, primary research studies and reports. As the leader of the IEC program, Ms. Hobart is responsible for market intelligence and analysis of the traditional and IP Telephony equipment markets, through quarterly programs as well as custom consulting.

Prior to joining InfoTech, Ms. Hobart was General Manager and Marketing Director at AT&T. As General Manager of Accessible Communications Services, she turned a business unit losing over $20 million annually to positive $10 million through cost driver reengineering and profitable growth. In this role, she renegotiated a labor contract and deployed new technology that reduced the number of call centers and improved unit cost by 33%. She also revamped customer care processes and measurements to lead the industry in customer satisfactions. While Product Manager for Operator Services, Ms. Hobart introduced voice recognition technology and AT&T's first 800 operator/calling card service, which became 1-800-CALL ATT. While National Sales Manager for public phone services, she project managed installation of a 31,000 payphone contract on budget and schedule, and surpassed market share objectives by 8 percentage points.

Prior to joining AT&T Ms. Hobart was a Member of the Technical Staff at The MITRE Corporation, where she conducted systems analyses.

Ms. Hobart earned a BA in Economics from Vassar College and an MBA in Marketing from Boston University.

Bob Olson

Technology Analyst for IEM

Prior to InfoTech, Mr. Olson was a Project Manager at Paramount Pictures with offices in Los Angeles, 16 major cities across the U.S., and 35 countries. Mr. Olson headed an internal consulting organization specializing in implementing services related to: Computing, Communications, Internet, Intranets, Entertainment, Content, Delivery Channels, Platforms, and Digital Media. Projects included fixed wireless transmission of television shows for rebroadcast and feature films for post editing.

Prior to joining Paramount Pictures, Mr. Olson was a Senior Engineer with ITT Federal Telecommunications Laboratories, where Mr. Olson was telemetry project manger for the Eglin Gulf Test Range Instrumentation System and radar project manager for Advanced Range Instrumentation Ships. Previously, Mr. Olson was a Program Manager with the U.S. Signal Research and Development Laboratories, developing functional requirements and product feature specifications for several Avionics programs including GPS and LORAN-C projects.

Mr. Olson earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Newark College of Engineering and was awarded an MBA summa cum laude from Farleigh Dickinson University.

Barbara Perino

Business Manager

Barbara has worked for AI's InfoTech Division for five years, currently as Business Manager, running the day-to-day operations for InfoTech.

Before joining AI, Barbara worked as a Legal Assistant for Hoffmann-La Roche, and was the Business Administrator for Moran Smith.

Barbara attended Farleigh Dickinson University, and is currently attending CCM working toward her degree in Business Management. Barbara is a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Additionally, she attended The Chubb Institute, Honors Program. Barbara was formerly on the Board of Directors for the Fayson Lakes Swim Team.

Sharon Valencik

Research & Marketing Director

Sharon is responsible for developing and managing InfoTech's state-of-the-art Research Panel and directing InfoTech's unparalleled primary research capability in the telecommunications field. She is also the Public Relations contact and Marketing Director for TelecomWeb.

Over the past seven years, Sharon has held a variety of positions for Pearson Education, the largest educational publisher in the world, where she served as corporate research manager for the educational publishing arm of Pearson plc. She orchestrated their industry-leading research panel that achieved a high level of statistical credibility. She also served as research & marketing consultant at BASF, where she spearheaded their marketing research and events business. Sharon has also held research project management positions in the San Diego regional government and was a faculty member at the California State University. She holds her BA from Rutgers College and MA from San Diego State University in Urban & Social Geography, with a focus on research methodology.
